Hudson Rose - The Story So Far
The story of Hudson Rose starts with a girl, a guitar and a dream.
Hudson Rose grew up listening to a variety of music and in 2016 received her first guitar, a mini Maton and just three weeks later, in January 2017, she set off for her first Tamworth Country Music Festival. That combined with a trip to see her idol Keith Urban she was hooked, determine to use her voice and ability to tell stories through music. Hudson arrives in life with a glass half full attitude and a commitment to her music and regional community. Hudson Rose diffuses her music with an irresistible mix of hope, honesty, and fearless authenticity revealing layers of herself with each single and showing her ability to put it all out there while crafting catchy and deep melodies. Hudson Rose is an incredibly humble musician who unfailingly holds her own with industry veterans as she shares the stage, studios and airways cultivating her honest and optimistic style everywhere she goes.
Expect to hear the name Hudson Rose more and more in 2023 as the young Regional NSW artist has seen a steady rise in her short career following the independent release of debut single in 2020.

2022
Misery
In October 2022 ‘Misery’ was released. The catchy country pop track was written about those days where you’ve just had enough and need a song to sing at the top of your lungs in the car with the windows down. The song was inspired by the people who just always seem to have something to say, who add their two bobs worth whether you asked for it or not.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Alanis Morissette, Breland and Keith Urban, “Misery” is aimed not only to country music fans but for all music lovers.
Misery achieved #17 on the National Country Airplay Charts and was in the charts for 15 weeks, #6 on the KIX Country Chart and was in the 2TM Chart for 10 weeks. Video was played regularly on CMT Australia.
Iconic
In June 2022 ‘Iconic’ was released. The song captures the essence of an ultimate love story and all the fun that goes with it. Passionate young love full of promise and infatuation is every girl’s dream, and part of that is having fun, growing up and putting your heart out there. Discovering all there is to know about someone – flaws, quirks and all. As Hudson states, “The chorus of “Iconic” was inspired by the feeling of a first kiss. The way your heart explodes a little and there are butterflies in your stomach. I hope this song reminds you what it feels like to be in love.”
The track debuted at #5 on the iTunes Country Charts and has gone from strength to strength. Added to high rotation on Triple M Country, ABC Country, KIX Country, and iHeart Country Radio has seen the track reach top 10 on the National Country Radio Airplay Charts and over 60,000 streams on Spotify. CMT Australia added the video on high rotation.
Drivin’ To You
In November 2021 Hudson released ‘Drivin’ To You’ with new producers MSquared. This shift in producers aimed to capture the rapidly changing and evolving environment for country music that Hudson wanted her music to represent – combining old classic country elements and inflections in the voice with new, modern sounds. Withdriving beats and catchy lyrics, this relatable country track is about the things we know we shouldn’t do or places we shouldn’t go, but for some reason we are drawn to still do it. The track debuted at #5 on the iTune Country Charts, premiered on Countrytown, was added to Triple M country on high rotation with the video was featured on CMT USA. The track was supported by KIX Country and Apple Music’s Little Bit Country and Country Risers.
2021
One More Kiss

Her follow up single ‘One More Kiss’ was released in February 2021 and premiered at #1 on the iTunes Country Charts with Triple M Country adding the single to full rotation, with the accompanying music video spun on CMT Australia. This was quickly followed by the Road To Roma Festival in March 2021 where she shared the stage with some amazing artists including Darlinghurst, Andrew Swift, Jane Denham, Ben Ransom and Bec Lavelle.Following on from this success Hudson Rose was Awarded the Maureen Wagner Memorial Award for Most Promising Young Artist in Australian Country Music 2021.
